Delight in the clever antics of the infamous Jack Spareribs, the evening’s Master of Ceremonies, and bid on over $5,000 worth of limited edition collectibles and memorabilia. Win a raffle prize or revel in the company of Barbossa's crewmembers from the hit Disney movie Pirates of the Caribbean; Curse of the Black Pearl: The forceful Bo'sun who slapped Miss Swan - Isaac C Singelton Jr., the creepy Koehler who choked Captain Jack through the bars of his cell - Treva Etienne, and the sadistic grenade tossing Jacoby - Vince Lozano. Guests are encouraged to come dressed in their best pirate gear and enter The Best Dressed Pirate contest. 100% of the event’s gross proceeds will go to The Children’s Hospital and Research Center of Oakland.

WHO:
Pirates for Children’s Hospital of Orange County (“Pirates4choc”) was started by Evan Pagay, an Orange County DJ and Jack Sparrow impersonator, and Matt Stone, owner of Sea Wolf Clothing Company in Huntington Beach. Evan and Matt gathered a group of piratical celebrities and entertainers to donate their time to entertain, give out toys, and play games with the children and their families in the hospital. The event was so successful, the group decided to launch a similar hospital visit and fund raiser in Northern California under the leadership of Craig Appel, local Bay Area pirate entertainer.

A skilled bartender tries to save what’s left of her family while pouring drinks for the people who are hopelessly in love with her … until someone gets hurt. Tipsy Tuesdays is a fun group partying activity, spread by word-of-mouth, that visits a different bar every Tuesday night. We only go to bars that have outdoor patios, since that's where we like to hang out, so we rotate between 10 or so different places. I've been at it since 2003, and planning this bar crawl for a while, so I thought it would be fun to open it to the public and see how many people we can entice :)

OR maybe not.

One night on the town..getting blasted with my favorite beers, led to a morning in which i had to go to work at 10 am. Made it there on time but my boss wanted to know what i had done the night before. Despite water...brushing of teeth....tongue flossing.... How can i avoid the smell of alcohol after hard partying? Any tricks? Remedies? How do you go about it. I know it comes from your stomach so i was hoping someone would know a way about suppressing Post-Party mouth funk?

Club GOSSIP is a once a month 80s new wave video party every first Saturday of the month. It is the only club in the Bay Area that you can dance along with/to your favorite 80s videos. One room is devoted entirely to videos that accompany the 80s hits as you used to see them on MTV a long long time ago. With two huge video screens and an inexhaustible and totally awesome library of the authentic 80's videos, Club Gossip is quickly becoming one of the more prominent parties.

Each month is dedicated to a memorable 80s figure or party theme of some sort. Examples of past tributes are Madonna, Smiths/Morrissey, Prince, Soft Cell and George Michael, with a future tribute to Ian Curtis and Joy Division in the month of May. When featuring an artist, they play more than the usual amount of songs by that artist, but do not bore the whole party with nothing but the featured artist. A Video Montage courtesy of Channel One Video adds to the ambiance of the theme in the front room.

Club Gossip was started by Randy (of Rocket) and Damon (of Bondage-a-Go-Go and 1984). They wanted to create a party that did something new and fun that everyone could enjoy. They strive every month to provide their clientele with a wide range of rotating guest star DJ's, like Gina Shock (of the Go-Go's), Low Life (New Wave City), Nako (Popscene and Shutter), and Omar (Leisure and Shutter) so the playlist never gets stale or tired. The resident DJ's, Damon, Melting Girl (Death Guild and 1984), and Shon (Rocket) play their favorite 80's New Wave music in a unpretentious manor all the while keeping the dancefloor plenty busy.

The Cat Club hosts this party every first Saturday of the month. There are two rooms of dancing, two full bars, and a smoking area. In addition, there are monthly drink specials. The clientele ranges from gay, straight, bi, and tranny. The party is not geared to anyone specific, just for everyone to enjoy. The rooms fill up fairly quickly, we think being free before 10pm has something to do with that, yet the crowd is so congenial that you can easily maneuver through the crowd, people are pretty kind and respectful at Club GOSSIP.

The March 4 Club GOSSIP, the General Manager of Cat Club, Randy, will be celebrating 2nd 30th birthday. Full disclosure, he like to get crazy on his birthday, so watch out.

THE RULES TO BOOZING:

1. If you owe someone money, always pay them back in a bar. Preferably during happy hour.

2. Always toast before doing a shot.

3. Whoever buys the shot gets the first chance to offer a toast.

4. Change your toast at least once a month.

5. Buying someone a drink is five times better than a handshake.

6. Buying a strange woman a drink is still cool. Buying all her drinks is dumb.

7. Never borrow more than one cigarette from the same person in one night.

8. When the bartender is slammed, resist the powerful urge to order a slightly-dirty, very-dry, in-and-out, super-chilled half-and-half martini with a lemon twist. Limit orders to beer, straight shots and two-part cocktails.

9. Get the bartender's attention with eye contact and a smile.

10. Do not make eye contact with the bartender if you do not want a drink.

11. Unacceptable things to say after doing a shot: Great, now I’m going to get drunk. I hate shots. It’s coming back up.

12. Never, ever tell a bartender he made your drink too strong.

13. If he makes it too weak, order a double next time. He'll get the message.

14. If you offer to buy a woman a drink and she refuses, she does not like you.

15. If you offer to buy a woman a drink and she accepts, she still might not like you.

16. If she buys you a drink, she likes you.

17. If someone offers to buy you a drink, do not upgrade your liquor preference.

18. Always have a corkscrew in your house.

19. If you don't have a corkscrew, push the cork down into the bottle with a pen.

20. Drink one girly drink in public and you will forever be known as the guy who drinks girly drinks.

21. Our parents were better drinkers than we are.

22. Never talk to someone in the restroom unless you're doing the same thing—urinating, waiting in line or washing your hands.

23. Girls hang out, apply make-up, and have long talks in the bathroom. Men do not.

24. After your sixth drink, do not look at yourself in the mirror. It will shake your confidence.

25. It is only permissible to shout 'woo-hoo!' if you are doing a shot with four or more people.

26. If there is a d.j., you can request a song only once per night. If he doesn't play it within half an hour, do not approach him again. If he does play it, do not approach him again.

27. Learn how to make a rose out of a bar napkin. You'll be surprised how well it works.

28. If you can't afford to tip, you can't afford to drink in a bar. Go to the liquor store.

29. If you owe someone twenty dollars or less, you may pay them back in beer.

30. Never complain about the quality or brand of a free drink.

31. If you have been roommates with someone more than six months, you may drink all their beer, even if it's hidden, as long as you leave them one.

32. You can have a shot of their hard liquor only if the cap has been cracked and the bottle goes for less than $25.

33. The only thing that tastes better than free liquor is stolen liquor.

34. If you bring Old Milwaukee to a party, you must drink at least two cans before you start drinking the imported beer in the fridge.

35. Learn to appreciate hangovers. If it was all good times every jackass would be doing it.

36. If you ever feel depressed, get out a bartender’s guide and browse through all the drinks you’ve never tried.

37. Try one new drink each week.

38. If you are the bar's sole customer, you are obliged to make small talk with the bartender until he stops acknowledging you. Then you're off the hook. The same goes for him.

39. Never tip with coins that have touched you. If your change is $1.50, you can tell the barmaid to keep the change, but once she has handed it to you, you cannot give it back. To a bartender or cocktail waitress, small change has no value.

40. If you have ever told a bartender, “Hey, it all spends the same,” then you are a cheap ass.

41. Anyone on stage or behind a bar is fifty percent better looking.

42. You can tell how hard a drinker someone is by how close they keep their drink to their mouth.

43. A bar is a college, not a nursery. If you spill a beer, clean it up. If you break a glass, wait for a staff member to clean it up, then blame it on someone else.

44. Being drunk is feeling sophisticated without being able to say it.

45. It's okay to drink alone.

46. After three drinks, you will forget a woman's name two seconds after she tells you. The rest of the night you will call her “baby” or “darling”.

47. Nothing screams 'nancy boy' louder than swirling an oversized brandy snifter.

48. Men don't drink from straws. Unless you're doing a Mind or Face Eraser.

49. If you do a shot, finish it. If you don't plan to finish it, don't accept it.

50. Never brood in a dance bar. Never dance in a dive bar.

51. Never play more than three songs by the same artist in a row.

52. Your songs will come on as you're leaving the bar.

53. Never yell out jukebox selections to someone you don't know.

54. Never lie in a bar. You may, however, grossly exaggerate and lean.

55. If you think you might be slurring a little, then you are slurring a lot. If you think you are slurring a lot, then you are not speaking English.

56. Screaming, “Someone buy me a drink!” has never worked.

57. For every drink, there is a five percent better chance you will get in a fight. There is also a three percent better chance you will lose the fight.

58. Fighting an extremely drunk person when you are sober is hilarious.

59. If you are broke and a friend is “sporting you”, you must laugh at all his jokes and play wingman when he makes his move.

60. If you are broke and a friend is “making sport of you”, you may steal any drink he leaves unattended.

61. Never rest your head on a table or bar top. It is the equivalent of voluntarily putting your head on a chopping block.

62. If you are trading rounds with a friend and he asks if you're ready for another, always say yes. Once you fall out of sync you will end up buying more drinks than him.

63. If you're going to hit on a member of the bar staff, make sure you tip well before and after, regardless of her response.

64. The people with the most money are rarely the best tippers.

65. Before you die, single-handedly make one decent martini.

66. Asking a bartender what beers are on tap when the handles are right in front of you is the equivalent of saying, “I'm an idiot.”

67. Never ask a bartender “what's good tonight?” They do not fly in the scotch fresh from the coast every morning.

68. If there is a line for drinks, get your goddamn drink and step the hell away from the bar.

69. If there is ever any confusion, the fuller beer is yours.

70. The patrons at your local bar are your extended family, your fathers and mothers, your brothers and sisters. Except you get to sleep with these sisters. And if you're really drunk, the mothers.

71. It's acceptable, traditional in fact, to disappear during a night of hard drinking. You will appear mysterious and your friends will understand. If they even notice.

72. Never argue your tab at the end of the night. Remember, you're hammered and they’re sober. It's akin to a precocious five-year-old arguing the super-string theory with a physicist. 99.9% of the time you're wrong and either way you're going to come off as a jackass.

73. If you bring booze to a party, you must drink it or leave it.

74. If you hesitate more than three seconds after the bartender looks at you, you do not deserve a drink.

75. Beer makes you mellow, champagne makes you silly, wine makes you dramatic, tequila makes you felonious.

76. The greatest thing a drunkard can do is buy a round of drinks for a packed bar.

77. Never preface a conversation with a bartender with “I know this is going to be a hassle, but . . .”

78. When you’re in a bar and drunk, your boss is just another guy begging for a fat lip. Unless he’s buying.

79. If you are 86’d, do not return for at least three months. To come back sooner makes it appear no other bar wants you.

80. Anyone with three or more drinks in his hands has the right of way.

81. If you’re going to drink on the job, drink vodka. It’s the no-tell liquor.

82. There’s nothing wrong with drinking before noon. Especially if you’re supposed to be at work.

83. The bar clock moves twice as fast from midnight to last call.

84. A flask engraved with a personal message is one of the best gifts you can ever give. And make sure there’s something in it.

85. On the intimacy scale, sharing a quiet drink is between a handshake and a kiss.

86. Security is always right, even if they'er not, pressing the issue is only going to hurt.

87. Don't go into a dive bar, a rock and roll bar, or a busy night club and order anything especially fancy, the bartender won't be impressed, the bar's not going to cary half the ingredients (esp. perishables) and you'll look like a jack ass that shouldn't have left the over priced yuppie bar you previously were at.

88. If it's getting close to 2am keep these things in mind: 1. no one cares what time your watch says! 2. if your told to finish your drink, it's really i your best interest to just finish it, if you make a fuss you just look like too much of a pussy to finish you booze and if you really make a fuss, their just going to take your drink away from you, and they don't care how much of it ends up on you. 3. if you leave your drink unattended it's most likely just going in the trash.

89. It's ok to give your # to security or bartenders, they get hit on less than you'd think.

90. Have your money ready before you order your drink!

91. Never try to tip the bartender with money someone else left on the bar, they know what on the bar and from whom.

92. The bouncer isn't trying to cockblock you, quit bugger her.

93. If your given a free drink be sure to tip, and if your not going to drink it go hide it, just don't leave it sitting on the bar!

94. No one cares what you think drinks should cost, the bartender dosn't set the prices.

95. You will forget every one of these rules by your fifth drink.

The usual amazing dinner will be served by Chef Craig Howell at 7'ish with downtempo lounge music by Dj ABC. For those that braved the weather to make the launch of _W.T.F.?_ Wednesdays a sucess. As Promised, a mixture musical mayhem was had (With indie fer the appitizer and Techno fer dessert!). And I'd like to personally thank those that came. Next week flyers are in post production and the local is the same (Heh, the club actually wants us back!).

Without alcohol they wouldn’t play so obnoxiously fast .(It’s a little known fact that they do so only to hide the endless mistakes and fuck-ups that invariably materialize as a result of their refusal to perform in a state even remotely resembling sobriety.) Without alcohol they would never have forged that kind of indestructible bond that can only come to be when three judgment impaired musicians get loaded and climb to the top of the Bay Bridge at 2am and spend the rest of the night wondering how the hell to get down. Without alcohol they would surely lack the sufficient social skills to hand out fliers or make friends who would come see them play.

Breakfast lucn and dinner, sure beer is a perfect fit, but isn't there more to life? Whats a good kind of 'round the house drinking wine, simpler red wines with pretty labels that bely true alcoholism expressed through consumption of grape beverages the manufacture could'nt get permission to pour out anywhere and thus had to sell. How long does wine, in the unlikely event I don't drink the whole bottle inbetween McHales navy reruns, stay tolerable? Best to refrigerate after opening?

Girly Drinks

I get back from seeing family in FL, to find that in my absence, my girlfriend had made some girly drinks for some friends that came over for the Decompression Party in my neighborhood.

I don't like girly drinks. I don't like girly drinks because they are deceptive. When I drink liquor I want to taste liquor. That way I know that a) I am drinking, b) how much I am drinking 3) I am drinking IV) just when about my drunk is going to kick in.

So this particular concoction consisted of lemonade, cranberry, grenadine, and vodka. It tasted like lemonade, cranberry, and grenadine. I drank a 32 ounce Nalgene of it in two minutes and said "Hey that was good. Make me another one." Glad I slowed down on the second one because by minute ten I was avoiding walls that were suddenly darting into my path.

Fucking girly drinks.

We just had the worst evening in recent memory trying to get a very simple & basic thing-- a pitcher of margaritas + a plate of nachos-- in the Mission.

F*ck Rondalla. If you were about to recommend them, I don't wanna hear your 2nd choice. Puerto Alegre's aight, but Friday nights are right out.

El Zarape seems to be closed for renovations. Most heartrendingly, La Posta down on 24th seems to be closed for good.

Help?? My roommates recently here from Austin, Tejas, & if we can't sort this out, I'm afraid she's gonna move right back-- & I'm not sure I could blame her.

ALCOHOROSCOPES do you match up with your sign?

ARIES: Impulsive Aries people like to party and sometimes don't know when to call it a night. Their competitive streak makes them prone to closing-time shot contests. They're sloppy, fun drunks, and they get mighty flirty after a couple tipples. Getting Aries people drunk is a good way to get what you want out of them, should other methods fail. Aries can become bellicose when blotto, but they will assume that whatever happened should be forgiven (if not forgotten) by sunrise. They can be counted on to do the same for you so long as you haven't gone and done anything really horrible to them last night, you sneaky Gemini.

TAURUS: Taurus prefers to drink at a leisurely pace, aiming for a mellow glow rather than a full-on zonk. Since a truly intoxicated Taurus is a one-person stampede, the kind of bull-in-a-china-shop inebriate who spills red wine on white carpets and tells fart jokes to employers, the preference for wining and dining (or Bud and buddies) to body shots and barfing is quite fortunate for the rest of us. This is not to say that the ull is by any means a teetotaler -- god, no. A squiffy Taurus will get, er, gregarious (full of loudmouth soup, some would say) and is extremely amusing to drag to a karaoke bar when intoxicated.

GEMINI: Geminis can drink without changing their behavior much -- they're so naturally chatty and short-attention-spanned that it's just hard to tell sometimes. They can amaze you by conversing with finesse and allusion, then doing something to belie an extremely advanced state of intoxication, like puking in your shoe. Geminis possess the magic ability to flirt successfully (and infuriatingly, which is very tricky) with several people at once. They like to order different cocktails every round -- repetition is boring -- and may create a theme (like yellow drinks: beer, sauvignon blanc and limoncello) for their own amusement.

CANCER: Cancer is a comfort drinker -- and an extra wine with dinner or an after-work beer or six can be extra comforting, can't it, Cancer darling? Like fellow water signs Scorpio and Pisces, Crabs must guard against lushery. Cancers are brilliant at ferreting out secret parties and insinuating themselves on VIP lists -- and, in true Hollywood style, Cancers are never really drunk; instead, they get "tired and emotional" (read: weepy when lubricated). But there's nothing better than swapping stories (and spit) over a few bottles of inky red wine with your favorite Cancer. Even your second-favorite Cancer will do. LIBRA: "I'm jusht a social drinker," slurs Libra, "it's jusht that I'm so damn social?" Libra loves nothing more than to party, mingle and relate to everyone. Whether dipped in favor of Good Libra (with Insta-Friend device set to "on") or heavier on the Evil Libra side (they are little instigators when bored), the Scales can really work a room. Charming as they are, Libras are notoriously lacking in self-control, however, which can get them into all sorts of trouble -- including wearing their wobbly boots waaaay too early in the evening, flirting with their best friend's beau or even blacking out the night's events entirely. Oops!

SCORPIO: Don't ever tell Scorpios they've had enough, for they'll smirk at you and quietly but intentionally keep tippling till they're hog-whimpering drunk, out of 100-proof spite. Scorpios like to drink, and screw you if you have a problem with that. Most of them see the sauce as something to savor in itself, and not as a personality-altering tool -- though if depressed, self-loathing Scorps seek total obliteration. But generally, they're fascinating drinking pals, brilliant conversationalists and dizzying flirts. They also remember everything -- especially what you did when you were blitzed. Only drink with a Scorpio who likes you.

SAGITTARIUS: In vino veritas -- and, for Sagittarius, in booze blurtiness: When buttered, they'll spill all your secrets and many of their own. Tactlessness aside, Sagittarius is just plain fun to drink with. This is a sign of serious partying (what else would you expect from the sign of Sinatra, Keith Richards, the Bush twins and Anna Nicole Smith?). CAPRICORN: Capricorn is usually described as practical, steadfast, money-hungry and status-thirsty -- no wonder they get left off the astrological cocktail-party list. But this is the sign of David Bowie and Annie Lennox, not to mention Elvis. Capricorn is the true rock star: independent, powerful and seriously charismatic, not too eager to please. And if they make money being themselves, who are you to quibble? But just like most rock stars, they're either totally on or totally off, and they generally need a little social lubricant to loosen up and enjoy the after party, especially if they can hook up with a cute groupie.

AQUARIUS: Aquarius and drinking don't go together that well (except for water, that is). They have an innate tendency toward know-it-allism, and if they get an idea while sizzled, they're more stubborn than a stain or a stone. If they're throwing a party or organizing an outing, however, they're too preoccupied with their duties to get combative -- and they make perfectly charming drunks in that case. Fortunately, they're usually capital drink-nursers. They also make the best designated drivers (if you can get them before they start raising their wrist): Aquarius is fascinated by drunk people and capable of holding interesting conversations with soused strangers while sober.

PISCES: If you're a Pisces, you've probably already heard that you share a sign and an addictive personality -- with Liz Taylor, Liza Minelli and Kurt Cobain. Dirty drum patterns, funky basslines and trippy-techy soundscapes are a few words that describe Sasha Navarro’s style. Sasha has mesmerized audiences all over the world alongside some of the top talent in the industry such as Lee Burridge, Jimmy Van M., Marco, Lenzi, and Kazell. She helped form Play Co. with her long time friends and spinning mates, Hac Le, Tyrel Williams, and Caliendo, where they are nurturing the local underground scene in Chicago as well as working on musical productions. Currently acting as the PA to DJ legend Damien Lazarus of Cross Town Rebels in the UK - expect some very sneaky unreleased and original tracks.

Clare Thwaite aka Clare Large is currently on a North American tour. With an array of styles she is equally as comfortable playing downtempo as she is electro and house. She has played all over the UK and Ibiza and is now bringing her unique style to SF.

Domingo Castillo is one of the best hidden downtempo producers around. Coming in from Miami as a last minute addition to the lineup we had to have him come lay down some tunes!

Every Saturday night at the Temple Bar we do $1 PBR and $4 Irish Car bombs, plus live music, DJs, pool, candlelight, and there's never a cover charge. The Temple Bar is a big Irish pub on the corner of Polk and Turk downtown. Check out the event posting, it's called Chunky.

DENVER -- The six men teetered down a sidewalk along a seedy Denver street, their maroon fezzes embroidered with two swords and a martini glass tilting wildly under the street lights.

"Drink up, boozehead!" roared one as the group headed for a bar in a proud display of drunken solidarity.

Sounds like a rallying cry for a bachelor party, a guy's night out, maybe a bunch of fraternity guys horsing around. But for the revelers at Modern Drunkard magazine's annual convention the cheer sums up a philosophy on life.

"It's all about drinking without apology or remorse," said Jake Nowak, 26, in from Milwaukee for the three-day liquor-fest.

Self-proclaimed drunks from around the nation gathered in a downtown Denver theater and dedicated themselves to drinking, though not always into oblivion. The gathering was more about the camaraderie of tipping your glass with others who won't judge -- a group of like-minded folks achieving what Frank Rich, the magazine's founder, calls a "pristine state."

Experts say this type of unabashed drinking is scarce these days -- outside the college campus -- and the roaring, rollicking drunk is becoming a rare breed.

The pendulum of societal norms has swung in favor of sobriety, said Peter Adler, a sociology professor at the University of Denver. He said there are new expectations of how and when people can feel good about drinking.

"We've changed a lot," Adler said. "Acceptability of drinking in certain times has been questioned."

Risks to health and safety have also contributed to the swing, experts say, as people worry about liver damage and drunken driving. Political pressures have risen to conform, along with educational outreach.

Michael Haines, director of the National Social Norms Resource Center at Northern Illinois University, attributes some of the shift to the aging baby-boomer generation that is determined not to let the excessive behavior of their own youth pervade their children's culture.

The last 30 years has seen a polarization of drinking, with positive values attributed to nondrinkers and drinkers chalked up as slackers or worse.

"We try to draw the line between use and nonuse of alcohol as if it were cigarettes or heroin," Haines said.

During a rare quiet moment during the convention, a crowd gathered in front of the stage like kindergartners at story time _ some even sitting cross-legged on the floor _ as Ted Haigh, known as "Dr. Cocktail," recounted the history of the cocktail.

"It used to be that if you had a pitcher of martinis you were considered a swinger," said Brian Clark, a pipe dangling from the corner of his mouth. "Now people would be planning an intervention."

Rich and his cohorts aren't looking for excuses to be reckless. They just want to enjoy alcohol.

The convention began on a recent Friday, long before rush hour (or even most traditional happy hours). Step off a sunny street into the venue and you squint in the darkness; a smell, dank and slightly moldy, worsens as the convention goes on.

As a band blared behind him, Rich said his goal was to bring back the class of the old-time drinkers.

"It's about being a gentleman, but still drinking to get drunk," said Rich, a man who drinks enough to know that bars have a "whole different crowd in the morning."

Drunkards here longed for the days when the Rat Pack lifestyle was something to aspire to.

"We need to rediscover the drug of our grandfathers," said Rich, 41, who started drinking young, when his father came home one day, put on a Hank Williams record and poured the 10-year-old and his brother shots of Jack Daniel's.

Although experts say a majority of Americans drink alcohol, the conventioneers know they are a niche group. Even Dr. Cocktail concedes the joy of the drunkard was always "essentially a fiction -- unless you yourself were in that exact same state."

To another drunk, "the otherwise hard-to-endure ragings of the overly inebriated might seem as true and real as divine inspiration," he said in an e-mail.

Rich, droopy-eyed on the last day of the convention, put it another way: "Alcohol makes us better human beings."

I recommend checking out Jimmy Van M @ Mighty on Tuesday, June 7th. He does not come out very often at all, and its a must to check his shit out... The cover is only $6 and the doors will open at 8pm. I also hear that there will be free food catered, and an open bar for about a hour.

For those who don't know, Jimmy Van M is the one who basically allowed Sasha and Digweed to get their word out. He is flawless behind the decks, his music is intelligent, and his production work is incredible. He used to spin with Sasha and Digweed the last Friday of each month at Twilo in NYC.. And for those who don't know, Mighty is located at 119 Utah Street. Check it out..

Please help!! I am suffering immensely. I know ya'll have been there, so lets hear some "cures". I know the best thing to do is drink lots of water the night before, but what’s the 2nd best thing??? Greasy burger?? Coke?

I Drink, Therefore I Am...

Everyone of us has caught wind of some self appointed water walker or another piously proclaiming their self imposed sobriety. It usually goes something like this: "Well you see, I really wouldn't know, because I don't drink". Oh Really?
This oft repeated platitude is often accompanied by either the sneer of contempt or that utterly insipid mask of pity for all the rest of us lost souls.
These same people almost never go into the reason for their abstainance...Why? Why don't they drink?
Could it be perhaps because drinking would be in violation of their probation? Because the reaction with the Antabuse would cause them to puke their spleen out of their nose? Maybe because if they had a drink they would be helplessly compelled to have more and more until they blackout and beat their wife and wrap their truck around a tree?
It doesn't matter why, because every 'reformed' drunken loser walks out of his first AA meeting looking as if the Holy Light is shining from his beady little eyes, in full judgement of the rest of us sinners. Fucking Phonies.
Another one for the books is "I don't drink to get drunk", Well then why do you drink at all?
I drink. I drink regularly, I Drink in order to achieve a predetermined level of intoxication depending on my mood and the occasion. For what other reason would I drink?
I Drink because I like it and I'm not one bit sorry and I am never going to stop...ever.
I Drink alone like George Thorogood.
I Drink and I know I'm headed for the bottom...but I'm riding you all the way.
I Drink, and now it's Miller Time.
